THURSDAY JULY 11th
DAY ONE:
7.30 Depart Hotel travel via the picturesque Derwent Valley to New Norfolk home of the famous Salmon Ponds (1864) where the first trout in the southern hemisphere were successfully raised. A must see is the piscatorial museum, experience the wilderness from Tasmania's first declared National Park in 1916. See the worlds tallest hardwood trees, the giant rulers of the forest and enter the enchanted world of the majestic and mystical Russell Falls. After lunch travel to the charming and historic township of Hamilton, enjoy a visit to the historic Glen Clyde House (1840) award winning craft gallery and tea rooms - travel onto Strahan for overnight dinner bed and breakfast through the picturesque sights of the Lake St Clair and Franklin Lower Gordon Wild Rivers National Parks.

FRIDAY JULY 12th
DAY TWO:
9.00am depart Strahan for the full day Gordon River Cruise where you will experience superb wilderness scenery complete with Huon Pine forests through this World Heritage area stopping at Heritage Landing and enjoy a scrumptious buffet lunch. Emerge from the river back into historic Macquarie Harbour sailing directly to Hells Gates and visit Sarah Island with ruins of the brutal Penal settlement. Late afternoon depart Strahan Village on the ABT Railway to Queenstown where you will stop at the old gold mining town of Lynchford where you are able to try your hand at gold panning and onto the summit of the rack and pinion at Rinadeena. Arrive at hotel for dinner bed and breakfast Queenstown.

SATURDAY JULY 13th
DAY THREE
:
8.30am depart hotel for Cradle Mountain National Park and visitors centre. Take one of the many short gentle walks through old growth temperate rainforest. Travel onto Sheffield for lunch and a guided tour of the Town of Murals - hand painted scenes depicting Colonial life in the Kentish region. Last stop at Ashgrove Cheese Farm to sample some of Tassies finest cheeses before travelling onto Launceston airport for a late afternoon departure.
