Professor
David Lindenmayer is a key participant of
The Centre for Resource and Environmental
Studies at the Australian National University
and actively involved in forest wildlife
management and nature conservation. |
|
He is currently
researching the development of approaches for integrated
forest management and nature and biodiversity conservation.
His current major research projects include: modelling
of wildlife; examining the effectiveness of wildlife
corridors; identifying long-term viable populations
of organisms; and determining the impacts of habitat
fragmentation on forest-dependent and woodland-dependent
fauna. In addition, he studies the impacts of habitat
fragmentation, large-scale landscape change and wildlife
response, and plantation design for biodiversity
conservation. He has published 16 books and over
405 scientific articles from his major large-scale
and long-term research projects.
